Back on the tour, Alexandr Dolgopolov has had a very quiet solid a year and he came through the depleted field in Washington to win 500 ranking points. Magdelana Rybarikova was the women's winner in Washington, defeating the top 3 seeds including a upset of Pavlyuchenkova in the final, who seems to have finally gotten her act together this year.
