Kuzzy's Back On Track

A big congratulations to Svetlana Kuznetsova, who wins her first title in 10 months by defeating Agnieszka Radwanska in San Diego, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3.  I watched part of the match and she showed some excellent form in the match.  A couple good weeks in Cincinatti and Montreal and I'll have her on my list of contenders at the US Open.

In Washington, David Nalbandian showed he was back in some kind of form, besting Marcos Baghdatis in the final, 6-2, 7-6.  He is rapidly becoming a weekly contender on the tour again.

Finally, in Copenhagen, home sweetheart Caroline Wozniacki overcame Klara Zakopalova in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6 in her "easiest" match of the tournament.  She was taken to 3 sets in her previous three rounds, including by Anna Chakvetadze in the semis.  It is CaroWoz's second title of the year and gives her some space over Venus for the #3 spot in the rankings.  Also another solid result from Anna Chakvetadze leading me to believe she could be a spoiler at the US Open.
