Federer Breaks Masters Drought, Wins Paris

Another year, another fall, and the old man many had given up for dead, has struck again.  Roger Federer is now riding a 12-match winning streak and is enjoying another late season surge with a win at the final Masters event of the year, defeating home favorite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Paris Bercy final 6-1 7-6(3).

Federer has now...

-won 7 different Masters events (tied with Agassi for most all time)
-won 69 titles
-won 3 titles in 2011
-won 18 career Masters (moves past Agassi for 2nd behind Nadal's 18)

It is the first Masters title for Federer since '10 Cincinatti, which was his last since '09 Cincinatti
