Wawrinka first to win 2 titles in '15

Prior to this week, 29-yr-old Italian qualifier, barely ranked inside the top 150, Luca Vanni had never won a main draw ATP match.  That changed as he reeled off 3 successive victories to reach the Sao Paulo final.  But the Cinderella story would end there as Pablo Cuevas won his 3rd career title, all in the last calendar year, in a 3rd set tiebreak.  In Rotterdam, 3 of the top 4 seeds reached the semis, but it was Stan Wawrinka who emerged victorious for his 2nd title of the season, defeating Berdych in the final.  Memphis has proved to be a nice tournament for Kei Nishikori, who has now won the tournament in three consecutive years.  This year he lost 3 sets to American players (two of them qualifiers) but then managed to see off Anderson in the final in straight sets.  Andrea Petkovic had the two marathon wins in Fed Cup last weekend (as well as some long matches this week) and now has an WTA title to boast about as well, although she didn't even need to play the Antwerp final, because Suarez Navarro pulled out.  And in Pattaya City, Daniela Hantuchova, who we haven't heard much from recently, won the title over 1st time finalist Tomljanovic.
