6) Andy Roddick (USA) def. 16) Tomas Berdych (CZE) 7-5, 6-4
14) Kim Clijsters (BEL) def. 3) Venus Williams (USA) 6-2, 6-1
Congratulations to Andy and Kim for titles, each their second of the season. It was Roddick's 29th career singles title and Clijsters' 37th and her 3rd in her "second career". This closes a huge month for Roddick where he made the final of Indian Wells and follows that up with a Miami championship. It appears Clijsters is now back in form after poor performances at the Aussie Open and Indian Wells.
In Miami, Roddick had victories over Andreev, Stakhovsky, Becker, 33) Almagro, world no. 4 Nadal, and finally suprising 16) Berdych. Clijsters defeated Kvitova, 17) Peer, defending champion 4) Azarenka, red hot 9) Stosur, compatriot Henin, and the even hotter 3) V.Williams.
