Sunday's men's final will feature:
6) Andy Roddick (USA) vs. 16) Tomas Berdych (CZE)
So much for our clear favorite in the second match (Soderling) and Berdych beat him handily while Roddick was broken just once in his three-set win over Nadal. Roddick faces a surprise finalist for the second straight tournament. The American leads the all time series 5-2, but it is just 3-2 on hard courts. They have met twice already this year, both Roddick wins, the most recent in San Jose where Roddick won in 2 tiebreaks to 5 so we should be in for a good match. I would venture to say Roddick would REALLY like to have this title especially since he lost to Ljubicic in Indian Wells. Roddick seeks his second title of the year and 29th overall, Berdych is going for his 6th title.
And the semi scores were as follows:
Roddick def. Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 6-3
Berdych def. Soderling 6-2, 6-2
