Rankings Analysis: 29 Mar 10

ESPN's updated ATP rankings can be found here:

-Nadal has regained the #3 ranking from Murray as the Scot failed miserably to defend his title in Miami.  Nadal now leads Murray by over 1,000 points but has several upcoming titles to defend on clay.
-Roddick moves back to #7 after his title, passing Soderling.
-After the spring hard court events, the men's top 10 is now:  Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Del Potro, Davydenko, Roddick, Soderling, Cilic, Tsonga.
-Youzhny is up 2 to 13 at the expense of Ljubicic and Ferrero.
-Berdych is up 4 to 16 at the expense of Monfils, Stepanek, and Haas.  His Miami final makes him now the Czech #1.
-Not a lot of movement in the men's rankings.

The WTA rankings can be found here:

-Venus Williams is back up to #4, passing Kuznetsova, after the latter's poor performance.  A continuation of this trend would mean Venus will at least stay out of Serena's quarter at events, specifically the French Open and Wimbledon.
-Azarenka falls to #9 after failing in her title defence, this bumps Jankovic to #7 and Radwanska to #8.
-Kim Clijsters is back in the top 10 at #10, and Stosur drops back out after a short stay.  This also means Clijsters is officially the Belgian #1.
-After the spring hard court events, the women's top 10 is now:  S.Williams, Wozniacki, Safina, V.Williams, Kuznetsova, Dementieva, Jankovic, Radwanska, Azarenka, Clijsters.
-Bartoli is up to 12 past Sharapova, Li, and Pennetta.  Li is now down to 15.
-Justine Henin is up 10 to 23 so she will now have a seed to big events.  That is Dementieva's sigh of relief you hear.
-Kleybanova is down 4 to 27.
-Pavlyuchenkova is up 5 to 30, falling out of the top 32 is Szavay, down 4 to 35.

So now we move to clay.
