Andy Murray defeated Roger Federer 6-3, 6-2 to claim his second title of the year and 16th in his career. It is Murray's 6th Master 1000 title. Federer, with his win over Djokovic in the semis, regains the #2 ranking. Ferrer and Roddick are currently #7 and #8 in YTD points (London qualification), with Verdasco and Youzhny not far behind.
On the women's side, Ana Ivanovic wins in Linz for her first title since Linz in 2008. And in a battle of veterans, Tamerine Tanasugarn knocked off Kimiko Date Krumm to win in Osaka.
