Ever since '10 Paris, the top 4 players in the world have won every Masters event. It looked like that trend may end at the Rogers Cup this year after Federer and Nadal didn't show up and Murray withdrew prior to his third round match. But Novak Djokovic came through for the top tier, knocking off surprise finalist Richard Gasquet in straight sets. On the women's side, in their scheduled Monday final, Petra Kvitova finally won her first title of the year defeating Na Li in 3 sets. It was also her first title in North America, and perhaps she is ready to snap out of her months-long slump and push for a US Open title.
