Indian Wells: Men's Quarterfinals/Women's Semifinals

On the men's side, things haven't been quite so hectic as the women's side, but the top 2 seeds have bowed out early, and injuries claimed a few more.  Here are your quarterfinal results:

3) Rafael Nadal (ESP) def. 19) Tomas Berdych (CZE), 6-4, 7-6(4); The defending champion is through to the semis, but not without a fight from Berdych;
6) Robin Soderling (SWE) def. 4) Andy Murray (GBR), 6-1, 7-6(4); The Swede continues his solid results, **Murray fails to defend final**;
7) Andy Roddick (USA) def. 18) Tommy Robredo (ESP), 6-3, 7-5; An amazing 1st serve percentage carries the American, who successfully defends his semi;
20) Ivan Ljubicic (CRO) def. 21) Juan Monaco (ARG), 4-6, 6-2, 6-1; Ljubicic just keeps on winning;

It will be no return to the final for Murray, who is now off to defend his Miami title; otherwise no real quarterfinal surprises.  This is also big for Nadal's ranking if he wants to get back to #2 by the French Open.  Today's semifinals are:

-Nadal vs Ljubicic
-Soderling vs Roddick

Our women's final is set:

2) Caroline Wozniacki (DEN) vs. 6) Jelena Jankovic (SRB)

This could be a good tight match if Jankovic plays as well as she has been in this tournament.  Wozniacki is going for her 7th tour title, Jankovic for her 12th.  This would also be a huge confidence for Jankovic after she struggled most of 2009.

Semifinal scores were:

Wozniacki def. Radwanska 6-2, 6-3
Jankovic def. Stosur 6-2, 6-4
