First it was Nadal falling to Kyrgios yesterday, and now the defending champion Murray is out of Wimbledon. After playing very well throughout the first four rounds, Murray fell shockingly easily to Dimitrov in the quarters. Djokovic nearly went too, having to rally from 2-1 down to beat Cilic. There are certainly cracks in the Big 4, and rise of young players is also impressive, in both draws. Halep has backed up her French Open final run with now a Wimbledon semi, taking down Lisicki with relative ease. And Bouchard continued her fine run, taking out Sharapova's conqueror Kerber.
Here are the semifinalists:
Men
1) Novak Djokovic (SRB) - 23rd major semifinal (6th at Wimbledon), 13-9 record (2-3), 2nd consecutive SF
4) Roger Federer (SUI) - 35th major semifinal (9th at Wimbledon), 24-10 record (8-0), last '14 Aussie Open
8) Milos Raonic (CAN) - 1st major semifinal!
11) Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) - 1st major semifinal!
-The men have now combined to reach 60 major semis
-Everyone has lost at least one set now that Murray is defeated and Federer lost a set to Wawrinka
-Only Djokovic remains from those who reached the semis last year
-Raonic is up to no. 6 and Dimitrov to no. 9. Murray falls to no. 10. If Federer reaches the final, he will move past Wawrinka and get back to no. 3.
-If Djokovic reaches the final he will qualify for the tour finals in London.
After Murray's surprise loss, I think Djokovic and Federer will meet in the final and if that were to happen I would lean toward Federer given their history and Federer's better form at this tournament. But don't count out Dimitrov after he downed Murray. I don't expect Raonic to trouble Federer much.

Women
3) Simona Halep (ROU) - 2nd major semifinal (1st at Wimbledon), 1-0 record, 2nd consecutive SF
6) Petra Kvitova (CZE) - 5th major semifinal (3rd at Wimbledon), 1-2 record (1-0), last '12 French Open
13) Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) - 3rd major semifinal (1st at Wimbledon), 0-2 record, 3rd consecutive SF
23) Lucie Safarova (CZE) - 1st major semifinal!
-The women have now combined to reach just 11 major semis, showing the new blood that has been infused into the tournament.
-Bouchard and Safarova are still yet to drop a set
-None of this quartet made it this far in '13
-Bouchard has reached 3 consecutive major semis. The last woman to do that was Sharapova ('12 US Open - '13 French Open)
-The last time two Czechs were in the semis of a major was the '86 French Open
-Bouchard is up to no. 8 in the world with this performance and Safarova is up to no. 17. Halep and Kvitova are still at nos. 3 and 6 for now.
I am going to pick to Kvitova to win the title at this point. She should be able to handle her compatriot and the Halep/Bouchard match is tough to call. Both haven't had much grass experience but here they are.
